High strength: SMC/BMC is lighter than steel and aluminum, with a relative density of generally 1.3-2.0 g/cm³, only 1/4-1/6 that of ordinary steel and 1/3 lighter than aluminum alloys. However, it possesses very high tensile strength, flexural strength, and impact toughness, allowing it to withstand significant external forces without easily being damaged.
