Unsaturated polyester resin is a viscous fluid or solid at room temperature. It is flammable and difficult to dissolve in water. Under proper heating, it can melt or reduce viscosity. Its relative molecular weight is mostly in the range of 1000-3000, and there is no obvious melting point. It can be dissolved in organic solvents with the same structure as the monomer.
